Well, we had an interesting weekend! Saturday was fun, first we had Tag, Tavi & the kids over to swim and we had a great time. I have a really cute picture of Eva to add later! After they left we had Luis & Summer and their daughter over! We ate dinner and had a great time visiting but while they were over we noticed Kendal's feet her swollen and red. As the night went on they got worse and worse, by 11pm they looked like little tomatoes. I decided to call the after hours clinic - they told us to go to the emergency room. So at 11:30 Saturday night we headed to the hospital. The doctor really had no idea what was wrong but seemed to think it wasn't life threatening so he sent us home but told us to keep a close eye on her. I stayed up all night checking her temperature and listening to her breathing. Since we had no answers and it wasn't getting much better with benadryl I still worried all Sunday and checked her temp about every 5 minutes. Finally Monday came and they seemed a little better. We took her to the doctor Monday afternoon and the doctor had no idea what it could have been. :-( I guess we'll never know. So basically that was just a long story with no conclusion. ;-) sorry!
Anyway... at her doctors appointment yesterday they said she was healthy and just where she should be! She weighs 11 lbs 11 oz, that's in the 10th percentile! Her head is in the 3rd percentile and her height is in the 10th.... she's a tiny little thing. I think it's safe to say that she's taking after her Granny Key and not so much my side of the family! :-) The doctor assured me that her weight is nothing to worry about because all of her measurements fall into the same area so it means she's just a small person. If her head or height were in the 80th percentile and her weight was in the 10th- then we'd have something to look into.
She turned 4 months on Saturday but since we had everyone over I didn't do pictures, I figured that I'd do them Sunday - BUT after our night in the ER that was out of the question. Then Monday she has shots and was NOT a happy camper but since I was home for the afternoon I decided to try to get a few shots. I don't want it to be too far from her actually turning 4 months. It's fair to say she wasn't in the mood but here's what I got. The ONE time she smiled I didn't act quickly enough and didn't get the camera focused correctly. :(
So sad...
She was not having the head band....
So I took it off... then her hair wasn't working so well...
Ok... looks like she'll go with just the flower...
Here comes daddy - he can always make his girl smile.
Daddy's a success - but Mommy misses the shot...
This one's almost in focus... almost
Then Clunkers visits sister and ruins the smile streak....
OK, we're back again...
I guess we can count this as a smile - it was a smile/screech....
I think this one will be her "4 month" picture for the frames and stuff...
Ooooh I have pretty eyes...
And I'm done Mom.
I know that looks like a tooth - but it's not. Just a reflection on her slobber! :)
Poor baby... such a long couple of days and mom just wants to take picture of it! :( But she sure is cute even when she's crying!
Next weekend is Meredith's wedding in Hot Springs! Yay! So excited!
I'm so sorry you had such a rough weekend! The pictures are adorable, tears and all!
