The Keys...: 5 month Check-up, swimming and Giggles!

We went to Dr. Denton yesterday for Kendal's 5 month check up. Most babies don't go at 5 months but since she's so itty bitty the Dr wants to make sure her weight stays on track. She was a whole 12.4 lbs. How did I have such a little baby?! Anyway, that puts her in the 3rd percentile. I'm not realy happy about that but the doctor assures me that I should not worry. She said that Kendal is very healthy - she just tiny! Tiny... so out of my realm of understanding. :) To help her put on a little weight I'm going to start giving her a bottled of stored milk after her nightly feedings, just to make sure she's eating plenty . I swear that's the hardest thing about breast feeding you really have no idea how much she's getting! Of course since I added more for her to eat last night she ended up sleeping until 6 - awesome for me but not awesome for her since the whole point is to get more calories into her not to just skip eating! I was really looking forward to using my Baby Bullet food maker next month but the doctor also says that I won't be adding solids for while. Carrots, peas... all that baby stuff just isn't fattening enough for her!

Poor Cass had to work all day yesterday then go in and work last night AND he still had to get up and be at work at 7 this morning. I really don't know how he does all that! So this morning it was just Kendal and I. We've found a few things here and there that make her laugh. Sometimes she laughs at my singing but I usually can't get her to repeat it. BUT this morning she just thought I was hilarious when I stuck out my tongue and pretended to cough. Anyway... here's my sweet girl giggling! Or imitating me... but I'm going with laughing!

As I was typing this post I realized that I haven't posted anything for the month of July except for her 5 month photos! So here's what else is going on!
She is starting to LOVE the pool. We got her a little floaty and she kicks herself across the pool! I need to try to get a video of it this weekend!

I wish I'd gotten more pictures but this is about it - we had Kristi, Burke, the kids, and Mom & Dad come over for the 4th.

Then on the 8th we went to Chuckie Cheese for Fiona's 2nd birthday! I can't believe she's already 2!! Oh, Chuckie Cheese - I hadn't been there since my traumatizing experience of Chuckie trying to eat me! :)
