So the good news.... blood tests all came back good! Yay! I don't know why but anytime I have tests done I'm scared - even if there is no logical reason why they wouldn't be ok, I get really really scared! :) We got to hear the heart beat, it was strong! Yay baby! We weren't expecting an ultrasound but we got one and we were so excited! Here's our precious little Baby K!
He/She is a little bitty thing! And that brings me to my "disappointing" news. I had previously been told that I was 9 weeks as of yesterday (with a due date of February 2, 2012). Once they did the ultrasound and measured that sweet little baby they changed me to 7 weeks and 3 days (Due February 12, 2012). Well, this may not seem too bad, after all it's possibly 2 more weeks to get ready! But I've been sick, really, really, really sick for 2 weeks already. When I thought I was 9 weeks, I was only 3 weeks to the end of the first trimester and the glorious end of morning sickness. PS... whoever called it "morning" sickness is an idiot. It's 24/7, whether your hungry, full, hot, cold.... it doesn't matter - I'm sick. So when they set me back two weeks I was pretty sad! On a happy note- Cass is the world's best caregiver so that makes it all a little better! I'm a lucky lucky girl!
All in all, it was good though. A healthy heartbeat is really all we can ask for!
